June 16th 2009, Butler, PA - On a three game winning streak, the Dragon’s rolled into Pullman Park home of the Butler Blue Sox, looking to keep up their winning ways. The Dragons (5-4) sent Taylor Dennis (Danville Community College, Downers Grove) to the mound, and the Blue Sox (4-6) matched with Ryan McChesney (Florida Tech, Lehigh Acres, FL).
The Blue Sox got off to a hot start, as Brian Youcheck (John Hopkins, Pittsburg, PA) knocked a double between center and left to score lead off hitter Brian Billigen (Cornell University, Carnegie, PA) and the Blue Sox were up after only two hitters, 1-0. They would score again in the first and once more in the second to make the score 3-0 early.
The Dragons finally got on the board in the fourth when Sean Flanagan (University of Iowa, Downers Grove) drove in Austin Kingsolver (California State University, Dana Point , Ca) with a sacrifice fly to left. In the fifth, the Dragons plated Matt Kliefges(Xavier University, Naperville) and Marvin Sanchez (Northern Illinois University, Chicago). The Dragons and Blue Sox were tied at 3 apiece going into the bottom of the 5th.
Unfortunately, the Blue Sox pushed across four runs in the inning, making it 7-3. The score held up the rest of the game, and the Blue Sox beat the Dragons 7-3. Taylor Dennis pitched 4.1 innings, and gave up 7 earned runs. Bryan Roberts (University of Illinois) pitched 3.2, giving up no earned runs.

Game Notes: Cole Tyrell and Marvin Sanchez collided in the bottom half of the 5th inning. Tyrell broke his ankle, and Sanchez suffered a concussion, and was flown to a hospital in Pittsburg. He will be fine, and may return to the team later on this week. Both are most likely injured for the season.
