May 30, 2008 | LISLE, IL The DuPage Dragons are teaming up with the 4:44 p.m. Club on Wednesday, June 18th at 7:05 p.m. when the Dragons face the Springfield Sliders at the Village of Lisle Sports Complex at Benedictine University. Throughout the game, members of the 4:44 p.m. Club will sponsor a raffle, and the proceeds will go towards the Club’s scholarship fund. Among the prizes will be autographed bats and baseballs signed by members of the DuPage Dragons baseball team.
The 4:44 p.m. Club was formed in 2007 as the third guild of the Rotary Club of Naperville. The four objectives of the club are: the development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service; promotion of high ethical standards in business and professions; service in one's personal, business and community life; and advancement of international understanding, good will and peace. Their motto is "Service Above Self," and they meet at 4:44 p.m. on Wednesdays.
The DuPage Dragons open their 4th season on the road when they take on the Quincy Gems on Friday, June 6th at 7:05 p.m. The Dragons first home game will be on Monday, June 9th at 7:05 p.m. against the Danville Dans. Tickets start at $6 with kids five and under admitted free. Group rates are available by calling the Dragons’ ticket office at 630-241-2255.
