May 30, 2008 | LISLE, IL The Dragons are pleased to announce the signing of Tom Filip, a right-handed pitcher from Baylor University. Filip, along with first
baseman Dave Reynolds and pitcher Brad Riegler, is one of three members
of last year Dragons squad to return for a second season.
Filip, a native of Apple Valley, Calif., pitched just three innings this year for the Baylor Bears, who earned their tenth NCAA Tournament invitation in the last eleven years. Filip made 19 appearances for the Dragons last summer, striking out 47 over 46.2 innings while posting a 3.09 ERA.
