May 1, 2008 | LISLE, IL The 2008 Dragons are pleased to announce the signing of Eastern Oklahoma pitcher/ infielder Nate Pettus. Nate is a freshman for the Mountaineers and hails from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
This season as a pitcher Nate has performed well as a reliever. He has thus far compiled an ERA of 4.75 through 30 innings pitched. He has also recorded a team leading 8 saves while striking out 29 batters and walking 28.
Nate has also delivered above average results from the plate this season for the Mountaineers. He currently stands at fourth on the team in batting with an average of .348. He has racked up 63 hits with 16 doubles and a whopping 16 homeruns. He has also accumulated 64 RBI’s.
