Dragons Slip by Sliders, Win 3-2

- The Dupage Dragons looked to improve to one game over .500 on Tuesday night, hosting the Springfield Sliders.  Big 6’5 right-hander Colin O’Connell, (Riverside, CA/Cal-State Fullerton), took the mound, and looked very impressive through his first few innings against the visiting Springfield Sliders. Game 1: Dragons Lose Circus Game to Quincy, 4-1, Hope to Bounce Back in 2nd Game

- The Dragons sent Bryan Roberts, (Lisle, IL/University of Illinois), to the mound against the Quincy Gems Saturday night, looking to break a 2-game losing streak.  Roberts looked very good through the first two innings, striking out two, and not allowing a run.  Greg Stolzenburg, (St. Charles, IL/Elgin Community College), would single, and advance to 2nd on the throwing error from Gems 1st baseman John Myers to start the Dragons half of the inning. Dragons Fall Behind Early, Slip Away From The Sliders, Lose 5-2

- The Dupage Dragons sent Brad Riegler (Downers Grove/UIC) to the mound in hopes of improving to 10-8 in a showdown of both East and West Division teams.  Riegler allowed base runner Derek Carr to advance to third on a wild pitch, and a sacrifice fly to center would put the Sliders ahead 1-0 heading into the Dragons half of the inning. - Taylor Dennis took the mound for the Dragons, who riding high on a three-game win streak hosted the first-place Gems of Quincy, IL.  Dennis was very effective in the early innings, and received some run support on a 335-foot home run from Sean Flanagan in the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Dupage Dragons Defuse Dubois County Bombers in 6-5 Victory

- The Dupage Dragons opened their series with the Dubois County Bombers on the right foot, just edging the home team by a score of 6-5.  Coming off a disappointing loss to the Danville Dans the previous night, the Dragons bats came alive amassing 7 hits in the first four innings alone.  Every Dragon with the exception of left-fielder Matt Mirabal collected at least one hit in the contest.  [ more ] [ download pdf ]
 
Don't Forget, Monday Night is $3 Night

As Monday gets closer, it will mark the first time this season that the Dragons will be offering half price tickets.  Regularly $6 per person, Monday night’s tickets will be cut in half and offered for $3 per person.  Of course, kids 5 years and under will still receive FREE admission.

As the major league draft came to a close today, there were two familiar names that were among those who will be moving on in the baseball world.  Adam Buschini (San Ramon, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) and Connor Powers (Naperville, Mississippi State) saw their names polled in the 4th and 11th rounds respectively. New Ticket Options Allows Youngsters Unique Opportunity

Adam Davis (Driscoll Catholic, Bloomingdale, IL) earned All-Area and All-State accolades by the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, and Daily Herald in 2007, along with being named Suburban Catholic Player of the Year in 2008.

CICL Announces Expansion & Rebranding
